Official Reporting Channels

REPORT TO YOUR STATE

Every state handles spotted lanternfly differently. Find your official state channel below โ€” then report to Lanternfly Watch too. Both matter.

State agencies use your reports to trigger quarantines, secure management funding, and dispatch inspectors. Lanternfly Watch maps your sighting so your neighbors can see what's near them. Takes 2 minutes to do both.

20 confirmed states โ€” each with a different reporting channel

Why report to your state

Quarantines + Funding

Official state data drives quarantine decisions, allocates management funding, and determines where spray programs go. Your report can trigger an inspector visit. In a new county, a single confirmed sighting can change policy.

Why report to Lanternfly Watch

Neighbor Awareness

LFW maps are public and real-time. Your neighbors can see what's a block away. State agency data often takes weeks or months to appear publicly โ€” our map shows it within minutes. Community awareness is a force multiplier.
